I bought this transmitter along with the new iPod touch (16 gb) so I could listen to music in my car. It works great and has a USB port and a dual male connector cord so it is compatible with basically any mp3 player. Also, you can use any frequency which guarantees at least one will come through clear. On top of this, the case actually fits the new iPod (Note: The volume button is covered, but still able to be pressed since it is a silicone case). Overall this is a great product, and for the price it is a steal and can't be beat. I would recommend to anyone that is looking for an FM transmitter for their car.

3.5mm Audio Extension AUX Cable (Male to Male) for HTC EVO 4G (Black) Review

3.5mm Audio Extension AUX Cable (Male to Male) for HTC EVO 4G (Black)

I bought this item for my car so I could ditch the FM transmitter for my MP3 player. The plugs fit nicely, no problems there. However, the insluation coating, while flexible, is extremely thin and fragile. The bending that occurs from using the cord at the plastic base of the plug and the wire caused the insulation coating on the wire to break and expose the wire. This was true on both sides of the cord after two days. The signal would then go in and out. The wires inside the cord and not insulated at all. They are bare copper wires, the only insulation being the black outer insulation. Most cords use insulated wires, inside of an outer insulation.
Do yourself a favor and pay a little more to get a decent cord. I tossed this on in the garbage after 3 days.

SanDisk Sansa e100 FM Transmitter Review

SanDisk Sansa e100 FM Transmitter

I have read a lot of negative reviews about FM car transmitters for MP3 players. I was especially hesitant to buy one from Sandisk because it is not really a well-known MP3 player like iPod, Creative Labs, etc. In the end, I figured it would be worth it because although the Sandisk e140 may not have certain features or size capabilities as others, it was definately a quality product that is very well priced, so I figured the FM transmitter would follow suite. Thankfully, I was right. The FM transmitter is by far one of the best design I have seen. The adjustable neck allows me to set the Transmitter right next to my CD car stereo and tilt it to face me, which allows me to hit the next song button as easy as it is to reach the car stereo. Other products I have seen are limp, or just wires that you have to rest on the center console, or passanger seat. The only downside to this is that although the MP3 player remains powered by the car its indigo light goes off after about a minute so I am unable to see the display. Not really a negative towards the transmitter, but of the MP3 player.
A key element I have read about faulty, or glitched FM tranmitters for MP3 players is that static can be heard in the background no matter how much you turn up the volume, and sound quality is very poor. Regarding the Sandisk, these are not issues at all. There are 3 presets so you dont have to find the good stations every time you use it. In addition, the sound quality is great, perhaps even better than the car stereo sound settings presently depending on the quality of your car stereo. The sound setting can be adjusted on your MP3 player to make the sound quality even more precise than the car stereo's.
Overall, I highly recommend this to anyone who has thought to buy an FM transmitter for their Sansa and avoided it because of other mainstream MP3 brands tainting opinions.
--One last note. I am in Chicago so I dont know if that is a cause for such good empty FM signals for the MP3 transmitter to pick up on.--

The Sansa e100 FM Transmitter lets you listen to all the music stored on your Sansa e100 series MP3 player through your FM car radio. Just put your Sansa e130 or e140 in the custom holder, which sports a flexible steel neck for easy positioning. Then choose any unused FM frequency for clear sound anywhere. The cradle includes three programmable preset buttons, letting you switch easily between preferred transmission frequencies. You can power the FM Transmitter by battery, or you can always plug it into a cigarette lighter output to extend its battery life. You can also take your FM Transmitter with you once you've left your car by attaching the holder to your clothes.

LCD FM TRANSMITTER/CAR CHARGER FOR APPLE iPOD nano 4G Review

LCD FM TRANSMITTER/CAR CHARGER FOR APPLE iPOD nano 4G
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I haven't had this very long yet, so not sure about how it will stand up to any abuse, but I love it so far. I'm using it on a Nano G4. I have had several other cheap FM transmitters for other MP3 players. Most of them really didn't have enough transmitter power to be really clear - you could hear random static, and radio stations trying to bleed through, during the quiet spots between songs. This unit seems to have plenty of power, even when running off of the Nano battery. There is a slight very high pitch tone present when using the charger unit, but it is not very noticeable - may very well be a characteristic of my Honda CR-V electrical system. Can't hear it when there is any music playing. It sounds great - clear, and with plenty of punch. My daughter has a unit from Monster that she uses on her full size iPod, and it works well, but it cost almost $90 a few years ago, and it is kind of bulky (though it has stood up well). This unit is smaller, lighter, and much cheaper, and seems to work just as well. The remote is handy, though a lot of the buttons are for the iPhone. It does make it easier to jump to the next song, or mute the unit, without having to handle the shuttle wheel on the Nano, especially when driving. I am getting another one for my Wife. Since her car cigarette lighter is broken at the moment, the ability to use it on the Nano battery (without the charger plugged in) will work well for her.

XtremeMac IPU-IFM-10 InCharge FM Wireless Transmitter for iPod - Black Review

XtremeMac IPU-IFM-10 InCharge FM Wireless Transmitter for iPod - Black

Review from iLounge. This is the review I used to qualify this purchase. I had written a manual review prior to this but it seems Amazon 'lost' my review. So, I'm reviewing it again the lazy way. I hope you find it informative. I was originally considering the Monster or the Belkin brand prior to this purchase. Now, I'm glad I went with this purchase instead.
Surprises -- particularly good ones -- are very rare in FM transmitters these days, as the Federal Communications Commission's crackdown on overpowered radio broadcasting devices has compelled many companies to broadcast just within the U.S. government's legal limitations. Over the past year, we've become familiar enough with those limitations that it seems obvious when a device is unhappily struggling to match them or blowing right past the marks, hoping not to get caught. Though we might be wrong, XtremeMac's combination FM transmitter and car charger InCharge FM ($70) seems to be in the latter category: two sample units we tested outperformed recent FCC compliant transmitters we've tested by a fair margin.
Like the earlier InCharge Auto, InCharge FM appears to have been designed to physically match the iPhone, using chrome and black plastic in an attractive, minimalist combination for each of its key parts. First, there's a car charging bulb with a subtle blue light to indicate that it's receiving power, and second, there's a cabled FM transmitter that connects to an iPod with a Dock Connector plug at one end, and a case-compatible USB plug for charging at the other. InCharge FM doesn't run off of the iPod's battery, and so depends on the cabled transmitter to be connected to the charging bulb, or a USB-enabled computer or wall charger, for power.
This latter point deserves a little extra attention. Virtually every one of the "in-car" FM transmitters we've tested over the past few years is "only in-car," with the manufacturer assuming--probably correctly--that you're only interested in hearing your iPod's audio through a radio when you're driving. Because you can pull the car charger off and connect InCharge FM to any powered USB port or wall charger, this one can be used indoors too, which will be a bonus for people who want to charge and hear their iPods through home radios without using a dock or wires. Our one and only issue with XtremeMac's connectors was a slightly loose right lock on our second review unit's Dock Connector, which didn't interfere with the unit's performance.
XtremeMac's transmitter looks like a pill-shaped miniature iPhone, with buttons on its face and sides, plus a blue LED screen where the iPhone's touchscreen would be. A play/pause/next track button for iPod touch and a stereo/mono toggle switch are accessible on one side of the transmitter, while the other side has two preset buttons, and the face has manual tuning buttons for the transmitter. The screen's only for numbers, and keeps at least the bright blue decimal dot on display whenever power's running through the transmitter, as well as matching digits whenever an iPod or iPhone is connected. The currently shipping version of InCharge FM is only iPod-compatible, bringing up the iPhone's nag screen, but a nagless version is planned for near future release as well. Nag aside, both of the review units we tested worked extremely well with the iPhone.
In fact, the units worked extremely well with anything we connected. XtremeMac says that the InCharge FMs use a licensed FM transmission technology called Quintic PureFM that promises "a consistently clean signal and excellent dynamic range," and though the units we tested weren't immune to the subtle static levels that persist in all FM transmitters, they did in fact sound great--especially when tuned to everclear station 87.9FM. We preferred the dynamic sound of the InCharge FM to what we heard from Belkin's TuneCast Auto, as well as Griffin's most recent iTrip Auto--on good or bad stations, XtremeMac's transmitter sounded clearer.
To quantify this a bit more, on an empty FM station such as 87.9FM, InCharge FM sounded almost completely clear, which wasn't a shock, but it also had the ability to basically flood out an existing station that was weak to moderate on the dial, and didn't suffer as much from the transmitter's location in our test vehicle as the others. We were also able to get a clear signal from five feet away from the antenna indoors. While these are positive performance characteristics that any end user would appreciate, they're also hints that the transmitter is like a track runner on steroids, capable of outperforming its rivals but also leaving us wondering how long it would remain in competition.
Overall, we can't help but be impressed by the overall performance and value the current version of InCharge FM brings to the table. Bucking past XtremeMac pricing trends, it sells for $10 less than its key competitors, but still manages to outperform them on sound, and look great in the process. Its ability to work indoors, using a USB charger or computer for power, also adds value for some users. From a features standpoint, all it's conspicuously missing is Belkin's ClearScan or Griffin's SmartScan auto-tuning feature, and then, its inclusion of near-universally-empty 87.9FM on the dial all but eliminates the need for tuning.

This 'should' be a nice little accessory package. But one of the most important things you want is protection for your unit. The 'Screen Proctector' has nearly ruined my new Sony PMP screen! I'm still trying to get the glue off! There is a piece of mylar or paper on the lower right of the protector for holding and handling, until it's in place, then you peel it off-what a joke/mess!! Supposed to be a smoothing card included for getting bubbles, etc out-was not inc. I guess everything else is ok, but I'm so ticked at the glue mess on my new screen I can't give but 2*'s due to the damage!!

I purchased one of these to go with my Creative Labs Zen. It died almost instantly and the reseller told me that it was because It only works with Ipods. That's the short version of the story.
The longer version ends up with the people at Accessory Genie emailing me "Learn to accept responsibility for your actions and quite blaming others. It may hurt to do so, but one has to look in the mirror at himself and look at his shortcomings and deal with them. " I wanted to listen to my MP3 player in the car and instead I got a life lesson. Thanks Accossory Genie, I'm glad you set me straight.
