(More customer reviews)I emailed Griffin asking if they had something like this for the iphone 3g and they told me they had tested it and it worked perfectly. I ordered it and they were right! It works great. The only issue is it complains that its not iphone compatible but it charges the unit and plays the music thru the audio out perfectly. I also am not detecting any serious cell phone signal issues.
So if you want a fairly compact charger and audio out solution (you must have some sort of audio in on your car stereo, even a cassette adapter will work) then this is perfect. I also use the buttons to pause and change tracks which I thought for sure I would not. Turns out its a lot easier to press the buttons on the charger than on my iphone.

(More customer reviews)I haven't had this thing for long but so far my experience has been wonderful. I had been using off-brand stereos up until I bought this and I was absolutely amazed at how much better the sound quality was after they installed it.
Even in my old '91 Accord with stock speakers, this thing gets LOUD and the sounds is clear and crisp. The Equilizer is simple but effective and it's easy to change the custom setting without really even looking so you don't have to worry about driving unsafely.
The design is nice and solid and the detachable face plate actually houses all the controls so the stereo is useless when you take it with you (some off brands don't do this).
The knob is the volume control, not the radio tuner. I personally love for the knob to be volume so you can quickly turn it down if you get pulled over or something.
Overall I'm very happy with this stereo, the sound quality is absolutely amazing for the price. The fact that you can burn MP3 CDs and have as many as 300 songs per CD is a major plus. Added to that is the fact that it has a 3mm AUX Jack in the front so you can listen to ANY MP3 player or music device that also has a 3mm output via a male-to-male 3mm cable!(You can play iPods, Portable Cassette players, Portable CD Players, Portable DVD players etc.). Minus one star because the display has a very narrow angle of view in the daylight and since the whole thing has a 45 degree tolerance you may not be able to see it well in the daytime.

(More customer reviews)I've gone through many inferior 3.5mm cables in the past several months, looking for something with good sound quality in my car. Most cable jacks seem to wear out quickly, and the sound degrades. Usually one side goes out, or gets staticky. So I went for the big fat cable, which does not have these problems, but has an unanticipated problem: I mount my iPhone to the dash, and the jack sticks right up out of the iphone, into my field of view, and invariably gets in my way. It's incredibly annoying. I'm going to give this one to my husband, who doesn't mount his iPod and so doesn't have the same problem, and try this: InCarCables Car Stereo Ipod/mp3 Auxiliary Aux-in Input Cable 3.5mm (4ft/1.2m) Hopefully I'll get good sound AND a cable that's not in my way. Wish me luck.

Just be aware that this cable is 1 foot long- which is EXACTLY what I needed to go between my netbook & cMoyBB headphone amplifier during flights.
Actually, finding a quality short cable is hard to find, so this one fit perfectly! It looks like a high end cable (I do not wish to disassemble it to find out). It worked very well for me. There is nothing to complain about.
