(More customer reviews)I'm thankful I bought this product at Costco, because I could take it back for a full refund. The idea is appealing, and a good deal - you get a lot for a good price. But on closer inspection, there are a couple of significant problems:
1. The contents are redundant.
- Cassette adapter gives better sound than FM transmitter in many cases. If you have a car with a cassette player, you wouldn't need the FM transmitter. If your car doesn't have a cassette player, why would you buy a package with a cassette adapter in it?
- Similarly, at home, you'd get better sound on your stereo by using the cables vs the FM transmitter, even if you do have a tuner.
So unless you plan on using your ipod in a car with a cassette player, a car without a cassette player, and with your home stereo system, having cables, a cassette adapter and the FM transmitter is redundant. You may come out cheaper by buying the components you need separately.
2. The case is TERRIBLE! Honestly, if the case had been good, I would've overlooked the redundancy and likely kept the entire package. But the case was a key component for me. The case in this package covers the iPod on the front, back, sides, and bottom. Since the belt clip swivels, to prevent the iPod from falling out of the top, the case has a suction cup (no joke!) on the inside of the back panel. The case opens up in a flip-down style by un-velcro-ing the side panels. You nest your iPod into the case, sticking it to the suction cup, flip the front of the case into postion, and stick the side velcro strips together. Between the case itself, the suction cup, and the bulky belt clip, the iPod is more than twice as thick in the case as it is alone. It's also significantly wider.
My advice - keep shopping.

(More customer reviews)this is my 6th portable digital music device so far, and i tried to avoid ipods because they always got bad reviews for malfunctioning and lacking features. this on is a different story. not only is this ipod the thinnest ipod ever made (you can stop here, apple, any further and it will vanish), its made smart, and so far its a pretty good buy for me. unlike everyone thinks cover flow cant be turned off, it can. instantly after i connected my ipod for the first time to itunes a new firmware update popped up, and one of the updates was an option to turn off cover flow, among other things.
+ pros
-incredibly thin. i cant even tell its in my pocket
-aluminum casing and glass screen offer excellent scratch resistence
-very light
-very competitive pricing - 16 gb for what the nano offers is the most affordble nano ever. the apple reputation has never been so attainable.
- accelerometer - this adds a few fun touches to operate without pressing buttons, is very useful for rotation on the screen when viewing pictures or watching videos. games are now actually very interesting
- screen clarity
-simplicity of use
-lots of colours to choose from
- cons
ITUNES - although itunes is the gold standard in today's media players, it has a tendency to use a massive amount of resources on any pc, and runs without question parallel to quicktime. if any quirks manage to occur, renstallation is required
- battery life - other than uninterrupted music playback very disappointing, especially while playing games
-everything is automated - this pertains to 1, the fact the ipod will turn on when i put in headphones, and the rest to itunes, which tries to sync entire libraries worth of music onto foreign ipods, like friends' and family
-Apple decided to require either their brand or certification to all ipod accessories, so to anyone that has bose or othere expensive docks and such, this might be a deal breaker
er, then i suppose theres a "both" category
-genius- theres something i havent noticed people mention, or if they do, its complaints. Genius is an absolutely worthless feature when used on the ipod. It works with only about 25% of PURCHASES. And it doesn't make a very satisfying playlist even when it does work. But honestly who should expect that? When you use genius on, itunes, yeah it still sucks at making playlists, and it is frustrating, but it's an excellent tool for finding new music, because it reccomends a huge list of new songs and different artists that usually appeal to your taste.
overall a big improvement compared to other ipods ive seen. the pricing and compactness, features and ease of use stand out, though the battery life and new accesory restrictions leave something to be desired. (get the 16 gb if you really want movies, or go for the classic or touch, which are both equally appealing) i give the nano ****.

(More customer reviews)I purchased this bundle based on the two positive reviews that it had at the time. I mainly bought the package for the wall charger, the case, and hoped the included FM transmitter might work. I was pleasantly surprised by the package. It came quickly and, although rather cheaply made, the products work well. The silicon covers are really handy and protect my iPod from scratches and what not. The FM transmitter works really well with my car radio and I use it frequently with interference only if I jostle my iPod too much. The wall charger works well when charging my iPod while I am away from my computer. My only complaint so far is that the description says the enclosed "leather" case should fit a 3rd Generation iPod but I have not been able to fit my iPod in the case completely and snap the back which is rather annoying at times but the case is good enough for the price. Overall, I believe the price paid for the various accessories is well worth what the package includes.
