(More customer reviews)I purchased this product to complement my older premium audio systems in my two vehicles. It is a relatively inexpensive way to bring MP3/MP4 audio to a vehicle that does not support digital audio. While it functions satisfactorily, it is too simple to be of great value.
The unit lacks a random play mode, which is my main gripe. The onboard software does not support folders to be stored, which means all playable files cannot be organized according to album and quickly referenced. The software is also limited because it starts playing the first song stored rather than continuing with the last song played. As it is, if you have 300 songs stored and you want song #150, you will have to manually cycle through 149 songs to reach the one desired. The manufacturer does not seem to maintain a website, so there aren't firmware updates available.
I have not tried the video function of the unit, because it requires converting existing files to a file the unit can recognize. The unit has the software stored in memory, but I just purchased this to listen to music.
If you don't mind listening to a small number of songs and constantly swapping out songs for variety, then this product is for you. Otherwise, this product is lacking considerable functions in software that make it quite cumbersome for those of us that have a bunch of songs and just hit random play.
It does have a very effective FM transmitter and does offer some equalizer options. However, for me at least, that doesn't offset the shortfalls it has.
