(More customer reviews)This works great for connecting iPod to older Alpine car stereos with CD-changer aux input. Only thing needed and sound quality is phenomenal. It also charges the iPod automatically but this will decrease the battery life. I actually left the red power supply wire disconnected so it would not charge the iPod battery then eventually hooked it up using a $5 on/off wire harness from a hardware store so I could charge it in the car if needed although I haven't needed to do this yet.
P.S. Be sure to hook up the ground wire.

For select Alpine M-Bus radios, the IPOD-ALP cable from iPodCarParts provides a direct audio input from any iPod with a dock connector, and it also charges the iPod while connected.
