Out of the box, the iTrip worked great. There has always been a little static, buy you really can't tell because the audio of the program covers it up. However, it seems to be affected by the cold weather as the static has become worse as the weather cooled. It was so bad that I didn't bother using it for several days. Now that the weather has warmed up a bit, it has gotten better, but it's still not as good when I first received it. I haven't had an opportunity yet to use it in warm weather so I can not be sure about all of this. I hope it's not going bad already.
