(More customer reviews)This product gives me a high quality audio connection between my iPhone 3GS and Mazda3 factory stereo. It pairs easily from the first time and then I do not need to do anything to re-pair it. On short rides, I do not even take the phone out of my pocket - as soon as I start the engine, in few seconds music just starts playing where it stopped last time. Of course I use AUX connection to my stereo to avoid any potential static in the city - but I tried FM for a couple of days as well and it's very, very decent, volume is not much different from radio stations, and very clear sound if you take care to choose an empty frequency - as you should anyway. Also, I set FM Volume to LOW for most clear sound. I can listen to Alan Parson's and Pink Floyd over FM just fine, to my surprise. Dynamic range and frequency response seem to be excellent.(this section of review is updated after weekend testing). I had other FM transmitters before and the sound never was that clear.
So I'm keeping it no questions; and it offers sharing the connection with other people in my car - kids love that.
so, to be short, I am done with my car audio upgrades. Tunelink is not cheap but it's MUCH cheaper than to buy and install aftermarket ipod-enabled or bluetooth stereo; besides, it's portable. Oh yes, it charges the phone too, and even the cable is included.
Negatives? hmmm... well, it requires having an iPhone or touch.. though I've heard they have Droid version now.

(More customer reviews)I purchased the Q2 on the suggestion of a friend and as a usable way to make my .wma music library portable. I am finding that Samsung makes some very cool products and this player is an affordable example. The touch controls are fairly easy to use even for a fat finger like me. It is somewhat limited in its shuffle ability. I have not used the EmoDio support software much. I have synced it to Windows Media Player and imported music, created playlists, etc. My only real regret is not spending a few more dollars and getting the 16 GB.

Naxa NX-3021 FM Transmitter - Black Review

(More customer reviews)The unit works great when it stays on, the 12 volt car adapter seems to periodically engages and disengages, when powered on it works beautifully and the radius for FM transmission is about a good 50 to 100 feet. I work for verizon and my co-workers were able to tune in on the other side of the garage about 100 feet away. When the power supply fails unexpectedly Bam! extremely loud static - if the could fix this problem it would be great - sound quality is fantastic - just power issues. Maybe is the manufacturer gets a hold of the review, they'll think about it. Hope this was helpful

Pros:
- Good sound quality
- Sleek and attractive looking
- Pretty easy to use
- It will override a station with a slight signal, such as my 87.9 FM which in NYC has some interference on it when the ipod is not playing.
Cons:
- Signal distance is very short. This thing tops out at a distance of like 1-2 feet max. I ended up putting it on top of my radio where it worked fine.
- My biggest beef is that it will not fit into my ipod with the case (Capdase silicone) still on. If it fit in with the case on, I would probably give it 4 stars.

Not only is the sound quality lower then the quality of AM radio(seriously, and I have used other FM transmitters which sound much better), but it does not do what it was advertised to do. They say that it will search for the cleanest signal, which actually convinced me to buy it because I thought that would be awsome. But it does not do this at all. It is not mentioned in the directions on how to search, and there is no button. This product should be recalled as soon as possible. It is sad that a good company like Maxell allowed such a product to be released.

(More customer reviews)Fair product. Works fine when I play most musical genre except hard rock/metal. For some reason it creates some static when hard rock/metal is played. It also doesn't have an option to not charge the ipod while playing. I'm not sure if continually charging your ipod while it plays is good for the overall battery life. The up side is that I don't have to carry hundreds of CDs in my car. Now I only carry my ipod and the tuner. Overall I am fairly satisfied with it, but will probably get another brand in the future.

After following the directions closely (being careful to tune to a channel that was indeed empty static) the music came through, but the frequency response seemed truncated on both the high and low ends. We also noticed that unless we placed the transmitter in a couple of select (and somewhat inconvenient) locations, the signal was somewhat crackly. Overall I'm disappointed, although if you have low expectations for sound quality, this product might be for you.

The installation was a breeze, but if you are not comfortable with dismantling the back of a seat and hard wiring it to the vehicle yourself Take it to a professional. The screen is good not great but for the kids they are just happy to have cartoons playing. The color (gray) is a slight off in shades in my Mercedes but it is close enough. I have had the unit for about a month now and ran it to another older headrest unit I had so now I can use this one to show the video on both headrests. I gave it 4 stars not because of anything bad but if you want a headrest on a budget it is about as good as you can get. I will see how it holds up over time.....

Otherwise, placed anywhere else (even on the passenger's seat) -- it's all static, buzzes and clicks coming out of the radio. Either it's underpowered or it's just plain junk. It may work under ideal conditions, but in day-to-day driving it's unusable.

Scosche passPORT Charging Adapter for iPod & iPhone (Black) Review

(More customer reviews)Well, I don't know exactly why the passPORT won't work for the 1-star reviewer, BUT IT WORKED FOR ME! I got a Panasonic CQ-C7303U radio 2 years ago and then the iPod adapter for it over 1 year ago. At that time, I had the 5th gen iPod video, then after that crapped out on me, I got the 3rd gen. nano (8GB). Then I upgraded to the 4th gen. nano almost as soon as it came out, so I could have double the memory (16GB).

Well, once I got the 4th gen. nano and plugged it into my radio, everything worked (it played/controlled through the radio), but I would get this message at the bottom of the nano's screen saying: "Charging is not supported for this accessory". (Or something like that.) And indeed the nano lost battery power much faster than it would listening to music through the headphones. (It makes since that more juice would be sucked up listening to music through the docking port.) Since I mostly listen to my nano in my truck (Panasonic radio), I depended on the radio to keep it charged up instead of having to plug it into my computer whenever the battery gets low. After doing some reasearch on why this was, I found out that for all the newest ipods (4th gen. nano, 2nd gen. Touch & iPhone 3G) Apple changed the way they charge that only allows 5 volt sources (USB, Apple AC adapters, etc.) and no 12 volt sources (firewire and most 3rd party accessories).
To make a long story short (too late!), I found a link to the passPORT, ordered one and plugged it in. I plugged in my nano on top of it and the message at the bottom of it now just reads: "Accessory is plugged in". (Or something like that) After looking real close, the charge icons appear in the battery symbol (showing charging or charged) and when I unplug it, the battery is fully charged or charged fuller than it was before. It kinda sucks to have to pay $30 to get back a feature that shouldn't have been taken away in the first place, but I guess that's the price of progress?
Well...OK, despite the title, I guess I did have more to say than IT WORKS!**UPDATE**: Just bought a 64GB Ipod Touch (3rd Gen.) and the passPORT works just fine with it too!

USA-Spec PA15-HON2 Honda to iPod Interface Review

(More customer reviews)I ordered a USA Spec PA15HON2Y to use my iPhone 3G in my 2005 Accord. I looked at multiple products including a parrot MKi9100 and DICE. Ended up choosing going with a USA Spec and a separate Parrot bluetooth unit (MK3000) since it 1) was price right and 2) offered integration with the factory radio.
My Accord has built in Navigation so I wanted something that would play nice. The USA Spec unit does integrate with my nav and radio. You can set up the USA Spec to display using text of what is playing (Artist, name, category). This will scroll through the upper radio display on the Accord as well as on the Audio menu on the navigation screen. If you want text, it will put the iPod menu on the iPhone into accessory mode and will not allow you to select specific songs directly from the iPhone. You will need to use the stereo controls or the steering wheel controls to scroll. There is the option to give you direct access to the iPod screen (you adjust modes by the pre programmed XM stations ie XM station 1 would be Artist, 2 would be by Category, 3, all songs, 6 is direct ipod). If you do choose to toggle to the direct iPod control, you lose the text - it'll just show as iPod.
The USA Spec unit will also allow you to keep XM functionality in the Accord. The XM stations show up on XM2 mode.... I don't subscribe to XM but can still hear their barker/preview stations.
One concern I had was that I definitely did not want to lose my navigation controls... safe to say it all still works... the Nav still shows maps, etc as well as provides voice directions. It will continue to mute (like it normally does) XM, FM, and iPod music when it gives you directions.
Installation wasn't too bad - took awhile to get everything out (and yes you have to take out the factory navigation to get to the right plug). After you pull out the nav unit, it's plug and play (unplug the blue plug from the back of the Honda Nav, plug in the male end of the cable that attaches to the USA Spec unit, plug in the additional adapter, then plug in the original Honda Nav plug right into the additional adapter (the adapter allows you to keep your XM).
I used some heavy duty auto tape to secure the litte USA spec box on top of the nav DVD drive and ran the ipod cable through the empty slot below (had to cut a small opening). I put everything back together and everything is hidden and seamless (except the adapter cord that plugs right into the iPhone). It does charge the iPhone too!
It sounds great.... (at least the same quality of the CD player). A couple of other great things about the USA Spec - it has another set of audio inputs. I plan on using these eventually when I add video through my navigation to get sound in since all of the video adapters still require another sound adapter. Also, it works great with Pandora or streaming podcasts through itunes (if you're in an area that has good AT&T coverage).I added the Parrot CK3000 bluetooth since I didn't want to have to unplug the iphone to answer it... the iPhone plays nice with both at the same time... if I'm listening to my podcasts and get a phone call, the music gradually softens and the phone rings.
The new DICE silverline units looks like it performs the same way but it was $40 more than the cheapest price I could find with the USA Spec.
Overall, I give this 4 stars and would recommend it.... only thing I wish it would do is also show song text even if it was in direct mode.... maybe this is a limitation on apple's part where it doesn't send text data if your using it as an accessory. Also, each time you plug your iPhone in, you get a nag screen about it isn't made for the iPhone and if you want to turn on Airplane mode to minimize interference... I hit no and it works fine.

(More customer reviews)I bought the PLRD-92 and I have to say, that it DOES have a built in IR Transmitter. I bought a set of wireless headphones and they work GREAT. the sound quality is excellent, even to the Radio thru the built in FM Transmitter. I contacted PYLE prior to making this purchase and they told me that the unit DOES come with built in IR Transmitter. I don't understand why people here on Amazon reviews are saying otherwise. You do have to keep in mind that wireless headphones ONLY work when they are in-front of the unit, not behind it. it is a safety feature to keep people from using the wireless heaphones while driving. The side with the LED lights on this unit should be facing back, because it is on that side of the unit that the IR sensors are located. The signal to the headphones is automatically disconnected when the headphones go past the point where the IR sensor is located. again, ITS A SAFETY FEATURE. I am very happy with my PLRD-92 and HIGHLY reccomend it to anyone in search of an affordable Pulldown DVD player for their vehicle.
