I just got this today at target. I was very skeptic before I bought it because the Microsoft Zune Fm Transmitter is just God awful. I mean I could never really get a good reception there was always static with the microsoft transmitter.
The monster Fm transmitter you can get a good signal without any static at all on all the FM stations.
I only wish that the Monster Transmitter was able to charge your Zune because I only have one cigarette lighter in my car. I mean I did pay $60 for it.
Why shouldn't it be able to charge and play music at the same time.
Overall I do recommend it.

You get what you pay for. This was cheap, and the quality is cheap. There was too much static and could not get a consistent FM station to play my ipod through.

Griffin iFM (Dock Connector) / FM Radio and Wired Remote Control for iPod Review

Griffin iFM (Dock Connector) / FM Radio and Wired Remote Control for iPod
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Griffin iFM vs. Apple Radio Remote
iFM Pros:
++ arrangement of buttons makes operation by touch a cinch
+ (cosmetic) available in black (only)
iFM Cons:
- Lowest volume setting is still a little too loud for certain circumstances/environments
- clip is somewhat flimsy
Radio Remote Pros:
++ iPod integration is great
+ volume can be adjusted in much finer detail compared to iFM (64 vs. 16 levels)
+ clip appears more sturdy and usable
+ includes a set of Apple earbuds which a shorter cord
Radio Remote Cons:
- arrangement of buttons makes operation by touch not as convenient as iFM
- (cosmetic) available in white (only)
Both seem about equal as far as FM radio performance is concerned.
While the Apple Radio Remote seems like the better of the two, I use the iFM (with the shorter Apple earbuds) when skiing because the button layout is much easier to use on the slopes while wearing gloves.

4 Channels Fm Transmitter with Holder Function For Microsoft Zune HD 16 32 GB Review

4 Channels Fm Transmitter with Holder Function For Microsoft Zune HD 16 32 GB
Average Reviews:

Took me a minute to figure out that I had to plug not only the Zune HD plug in but the headphone jack had to be plugged into the aux jack on the bottom of the transmitter (Doh!). After getting it going it sounded like FM radio quality the first time I used it. Now that I have used it for a few days most of the time it sounds like a good AM radio station.
I have found that if you unplug the Zune HD cable and just use the aux cable you will reduce the noise but of course you will not be charging the Zune HD. I did some tests like getting a longer mini stereo patch cable, that unlike the cable that comes with it, is shield and, moved the Zune HD around to see of the noise was caused by electromagnetic interference from my head unit or from the engine's electrical systems but there was no change leading me to believe that poor EMI shielding and or poor circuit design is to blame.
I checked to make sure the channel was clear and as far away from used channels as possible so I doubt much of the noise is coming from that. It would be nice to have more channels to chose from as people who live where most of the FM channels are used might not have luck on just the 88 MHz band that this device is limited to.
I had to turn the volume almost all the way up to hear the music. At first I did use maximum volume but found that it distorted some parts of the music mostly when the letter S was sung. So now I use about 85% volume and turn my radio up more than the normal volume I use.
Overall for 17.98 (6.99 + 10.99 S+H) it's ok. With a better circuit design and 3-5 dollars in parts it could be great.

Rca Rc59I Clock Radio with Ipod Dock Review

Rca Rc59I Clock Radio with Ipod Dock
Average Reviews:

I saw this for sale at a local store, so I thought I would do some digging for information. Unfortunately, there is almost zero. It doesn't say it anywhere online or on the box, but this will indeed charge your iPhone 3G. It's possible that they did not want to pay for licensing. Since it will charge the 3G, it should charge all of the new non-firewire iPods (Nano 5G, etc).
It's nice and compact, but certainly sturdy. Once you take a leaf through the instruction manual, it's very easy to use. Not one of those things I recommend to start pushing buttons feet-first, because you'll probably be woken up at 2:30am by accident.
What else can I say about it? It charges my iPhone, plays pretty well (a 5.1 system this isn't), has an aux-in for a Zune, etc, has dual-alarms with 3-4 different options each. If you're looking for a cheap replacement for your firewire-charging alarm clock, this is a good choice.

In Car MP3 iPOD FM transmitter for SD USB Pen drive w/Remote Review

In Car MP3 iPOD FM transmitter for SD USB Pen drive w/Remote

So close, yet so aggravatingly far away... When you have a 1GB or 2GB drive with hundreds of songs loaded, you may not want to hear them IN-THE-EXACT-SAME-ORDER-OVER-AND-OVER-AND-OVER again... You have to use the remote or try not to hit a guardrail while you struggle to depress the little button on the unit... and usually hit the frequency changer instead, making your same-ole music screechy with radio static. Now you know why I'm in an obvious panic when you pass me on the road! And these are not in track name order, they're in the order in which you ADDED THEM TO YOUR CARD OR USB DRIVE! Ouch! It's nice that they made the buttons larger for us drivers (too bad car and mini-van manufacturers didn't anticipate us dinking with the lighter socket WHILE driving so they're not always convenient...), but they also made them dual-function. For example, holding the change frequency buttons for more than one second and the volume will change. Nice otherwise, plenty of frequencies (analog), limited remote. Too bad we can't enter in a song number and it plays from there... the remote simply duplicates the onboard buttons. No power pack to remember or charge or manage, use your SD cards or USB flash drives with ease... The display shows the song titles and info (please pull over first!). If you're looking for THE solution to auto MP3, this is only it if you like ORDER. If you want to mix it up a little, keep on looking!

Panasonic SC-BT230 5.1 Surround Sound System Review

Panasonic SC-BT230 5.1 Surround Sound System
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Panasonic's SC-BT230 is a vertitable jack-of-all-trades: this thing plays CDs, DVDs and Blu-ray Discs, but it also has a built-in iPod dock which is compatible with iPod, iPod Touch and iPhone for playback of music, photos *and* videos through your home theater system and TV. But wait, there's more! It also includes built-in amplification, five speakers and a subwoofer for discrete 5.1 channel surround sound, has on-board decoding of the latest audio codecs (DTS-HD Master Audio, Dolby TrueHD, etc.), does a nice job upconverting DVDs to 1080p resolution, streams Netflix, Amazon VOD and YouTube, and has a built-in FM tuner.
If you want to use it with a cable or satellite box, a TV's built in ATSC tuner or a gaming system, then just plug it into one of the unit's two fiberoptic digital inputs (for full 5.1 channel compatibility) or use the one analog stereo input. Set-up is pretty simple: the speaker wires are all included and all are terminated in proprietary, color-coded connectors that plug into the back of the main unit. I would have liked to see matching colors on the other ends of the cables as well as on the rear, center and surround channel speakers themselves, but hey, you can't have everything (I mean... where would you put it?). At least the speaker wires are labeled "+" and "-" so you won't be plugging in the speakers out of phase from each other (which can have a nasty effect on the sound). The only other cable you'll need is HDMI (not included) which connects the system to your HDTV. A composite video connection is also available for hooking the unit up to older analog TVs (though you'll only get standard def output this way). With the HDMI cable connected, set-up was a breeze as the TV and HTiB system communicated via VIERA Link (more on that later) to automatically set the screen shape (16:9) and resolution (1080p).
For a $399 packaged system (available even cheaper on Amazon) that includes a built-in Blu-ray player, the sound quality was much better than I expected. The bass is solid, if not really extended and there was very little thumpiness or boom. The tiny little center speaker actually does a pretty good job reproducing dialog and the main front and surround speakers (which are identical to each other, slightly smaller than the center speaker) can put out a surprisingly high volume level. "Avatar" on Blu-ray was a sonic and visual splendor with this system hooked up to a 46-inch VIERA 1080p HDTV. The spoken word was easily audible (whether in English or Na'vi), and the explosions and gun fire produced a deep rumble that actually made our floor shake a little bit. The built-in FM tuner was a bit thin-sounding with only average reception but for casual radio listening, it gets the job done.
Where the system has some flaws is in its actual operation, particularly if you start taking advantage of multiple inputs. Navigating iPod content, for example, is pretty tricky. Inserting the iPod into its dock and hitting the "iPod" button on the remote is simple enough, bringing up a music menu which lists things like playlists and artist selections on the big screen. The unit's remote can be used to navigate through the songs and other content on your iPod. But to get to the higher level iPod menu (where photos and videos are also available), you need to know to hit the "sub-menu" button on the remote. And if you do want to view iPod videos, then you need to hook up a separate composite video cable (included) to your TV. Also, selecting from the other inputs (other than Blu-ray) can be a chore. There is a little "Radio/Ext In" button on the remote that cycles through the available inputs. But it's slow to lock on incoming signals and the text that appears on the LCD readout on the front of the unit is fairly cryptic -- "DIG-IN-1" -- huh? You can also bring up a list of available inputs on the TV screen, but again, this option is not that easy to find.
And if you hook the unit up to a newer TV (from Panasonic or even other brands) with the HDMI cable, then the HDMI-CEC feature (called "VIERA Link" on the Panasonic) can be both a boon and a curse. HDMI-CEC can allow you to operate the functions of the HTiB from a TV's remote control (which is handy) but it also makes certain choices for you about how everything in the system should work together. For the most part, this is helpful (like when you insert a Blu-ray Disc and VIERA Link automatically switches the TV to the correct input) but in some cases, it's annoying, like if you want to listen to music on your iPod, and then you turn off the TV, it shuts down the receiver automatically. Doh. This can be disabled (or behavior modified) in either the HTiB or TV's set-up menu, but unsophisticated users might not be able to figure out what's going on.
Boot-up and loading speeds are a bit slower than we're used to seeing on current generation standalone Blu-ray players, but certainly faster than the early players. Also, a firmware update that we performed took longer than expected (maybe 15 minutes?) with very little indication of what was going on, other than a green flashing light and "SRD" on the display.
Network set-up for us via a wired cable was a breeze (sorry, no built-in WiFi). The player was able to get a dynamic address and DNS info set up automatically. Our very first connections to YouTube and Netflix went through without a hitch and soon we were streaming HD movies from Netflix for free (well, free with a Netflix DVD or Blu-ray rental plan that is). The "VIERA Cast" button on the remote goes right to the IPTV features (Netflix, YouTube, etc.) so those should be easy enough for people to find.
For a pretty small investment, this little HTiB system offers an excellent upgrade to a TV's built-in speakers, while also feeding your HDTV with some fine 1080p HD material on Blu-ray Disc as well as a number of web-based streaming options. Pandora internet music streaming is not available yet but should be coming in a future firmware upgrade. The operational idiosyncrasies are easy enough to get used to, once you figure them out. All in all, it's an excellent choice for a full-featured but inexpensive little home theater system.

Griffin 7265-TRIPUNB iTrip Universal Play any MP3 Player On Your Car or Home Stereo Review

Griffin 7265-TRIPUNB iTrip Universal Play any MP3 Player On Your Car or Home Stereo
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Here's my opinion of the Griffin iTrip Universal. I have a 4th Gen iPod Nano, which I love. I looked at the "old" style of the iTrips specifically designed for Nano, but there was not a 4th Gen one out yet. I decided to go ahead and purchase the iTrip Universal, that way if someone was in my car with an MP3 player other than an iPod, it would still be able to be used. I was extremely excited once I received it and thought the charging mechanism (via USB) was brilliant since you wouldn't drain your iPod battery using it. However, the excitement quickly faded when I went to use it the first time. I charged it fully and a few days (4 days tops) later went to use it. It was completely dead. I had assumed I had done something wrong, since I hadn't used it yet. I recharged it later that day and used it the next day. I drive a fairly small car and have used FM transmitters before without issue. With the iTrip universal however, there are 2, maybe 3, places in my vehicle I can set my iPod/transmitter and have it transmit without a ton of static. I tried multiple frequencies and all had the same result. My trip to work is about 20 minutes, by the time I was there, the battery indicator had already dropped from 3 bars to 2. I didn't use it the next day, and when I went to pull it out to use it the following day - completely dead again. If I want to use it, I have to make sure I have had it plugged in to charge within the last couple of days or else it is dead and I can't use it. I gave it the benefit of the doubt, that maybe it had to charge and drain a few times in order for it to be able to have the battery operate at full capacity. I have had it coming up on 5 months now and see no improvement whatsoever. I plan to purchase a replacement (most likely the iTrip Auto for iPod). My only problem is that I will have this iTrip Universal that I spent good money on that does not work well, and I don't feel right about selling someone something that I find only works halfway.
I just wanted to let you know my review and tell you that while I love most Griffin products, I was/am highly, highly disappointed in the iTrip Universal. It will work, but not well, and I just can't give it a great recommendation like I had hoped to.

I have been on the fence for a long time, not wanting to pay too much, but wanted color screens and photo capability.
Pros
I can fit it in a pocket or purse easily.
Music transferred smoothly.
Great FM radio reception.
Very nice design, and user friendly
Cons
It does require a computer to charge. So not ideal for travel use.
I did have a few problems installing software.
If the Converter does not install, close everything then open the disk files and open the Converter folder and use the installation file from that. I think the regular set-up tries to do too much at a time.

Scosche Audio FM Modulator - Universal Review

Scosche Audio FM Modulator - Universal
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I purchased this item because I bought a used car that didn't have a CD player in it. I tried the VR3 FM modulator that transmitts to you FM stereo but the sound quality was extremely poor, no matter what I did to attempt to make it work. This product however, worked excellent upon installation. Great sound, no static!
Installation is a pain since you have to pretty much remove your existing stereo and access your vehicles wiring, but in the end is worth it. All the wiring can be easily hidden, the box can be hidden somewhere where you can access should you ever need to (It's pretty much a "set it and forget it" type of device. The headphone jack that goes to your CD player can be routed to your glove box, or, in my case, in the armrest storage compartment. That way you can hide your player and not have a something obvious to attract unwelcome guests to your car.

Hoped this would be all it claims to be. First impression when I got the package - had clearly been a returned product without any instructions, damaged packaging, and areas of writing blacked out with marker. Item clearly works to charge my ipod touch but only has 4 frequencies on the side to select and they are all extremely close together - it does NOT transmit on all frequencies as the ad claims. Cheap plastic but might hold up for light use. Will be returning this item.

Latte Café 32 GB Video MP3 Player with 4.3-Inch Touchscreen -- Amazon.com Exclusive (Silver) Review

Latte Café 32 GB Video MP3 Player with 4.3-Inch Touchscreen -- Amazon.com Exclusive (Silver)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I have used latte's products and very satisfied with this little-knwon company's product.
First thing I would like to mention is that they have a very good customer service. I had my Ice 8GB mp3 player that I accidentally broke the screen and the latte replaced the whole unit to the new one.
Now I needed more memory space to upload my home videos and found this latte on Amazon. Ice 8GB is now passed to my son and I got this 32GB mp3 plus the 16GB extra memory. I uploaded most of my home videos(about 40GB) and still have plenty of memory space left for the music. My husband is using the Archos 60GB harddrive mp3 player, but now he wants this latte 32GB cafe mp3 because the response time is a lot faster than the Archos. My husband is telling me that it is becuase of the memory: flash memory should run faster than the harddrive memory.
*Screen: Very sensetive touch screen. Unlike ipod touch, cafe mp3 requires the double click to activate any buttons or lists. But for the price that is around half of the ipod touch 32GB(nowadays, it is around $399), I am very impressed about the quality of this cafe.
*There are not many choice for the high capacity mp3 and the prices are too expensive. I had my research on the high capacity mp3's and found ipod touch($399), Archos 60GB($269) , Sansa($175 but not touch screen and small screen), Zen($235 but not a touch screen), cowon($269.99), and latte cafe($189).
*Sound: reasonable sound quality. pretty much same sound as my previous latte Ice mp3 player(of course, they are from the same company ^_^)
*Video: I am very happy that I can now carry all of my home videos with me. cafe has TV connection feature but I haven't tested.
*Accessories: Nice leather case and the touch pen. Also, the good earphone.
I think the other 32GB mp3s are very overpriced compare to this latte. I hope my review helps.

Creative Zen Micro 5 GB MP3 Player Black Review

Creative Zen Micro 5 GB MP3 Player Black
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
The Creative Zen Micro is no iPod killer. It is the iPod for the rest of us. Where Apple's product is stylish and fun to use, it has that unfortunate Apple characteristic of locking users into buying their music strictly from Apple. iTunes is a fine online music store, but there are many others and some (MSN and Musicmatch for example) are as deep in selection and easy to use. And the Creative Zen Micro gives us a player every bit as intuitive and stylish as the Apple product and the benefit of FM radio, Outlook synchronization and the use of every online music store other than iTunes.
Everyone knows that the Micro comes in an array of colors. Mine is silver. I like the blue glow and the shiny white case that compliment the silver face. Personally I think the black model looks best, but I didn't buy the unit for the color. I've seen a number of reviews of the Micro from people having trouble with the vertical touch pad. After two adjustments, I had no issues with that controller at all. It is more intuitive than running your finger in a circle. The touch pad and menus it opens are user adjustable. I was having trouble getting the Micro cursor to stop where I wanted when scrolling though the menu lists. I adjusted the touchpad sensitivity setting to low but that didn't help. I adjusted it to high and the problem was solved. It may seem counterintuitive to select high sensitivity to better control the touchpad. If you're having touchpad issues, try the high setting and see for yourself.
The Micro comes in with good quality ear buds, a hard shell case that accepts adapters to help it serve as a belt clip or a desk stand. There is also a carrying pouch, a USB 2.0 cord, universal AC adapter, and the removable, rechargeable battery. Other accessories are available from Creative. I am not a big fan of ear buds, but these are pretty good and the cord doubles as the FM radio antenna. I selected Auto Search and the Micro found strong signals for all of its 32 presets. I live in an area with lots of FM radio, so performance in other areas may vary.
Volume on the Micro is controlled by the touchpad, not a separate button. Some folks prefer a separate wheel for volume. It is more important to me that the volume reaches acceptable levels and is EQ adjustable. Both are true on the Micro. There are a number of EQ presets and a limited ability to customize adjustments.
You can create playlists on the fly which is a great feature of the Micro missing in many other MP3 players. It is also possible to create playlists on your computer using either the included Creative software or Windows Mediaplayer 10. I like the interface in WMP 10 better than the Creative software and the Micro syncs with WMP 10 flawlessly.
The Micro has a microphone for recording voice notes. Speak normally into this mic or you will get distorted sound. At normal speaking volumes, the quality was fine. You might be tempted to shout to such a tiny device, but don't.
Creative says the battery will play for 12 hours. Early buyers of the Micro are receiving an extra battery in the package, which is a great bonus. I charged the extra battery and keep it in the pouch to be handy when needed. I've not run a battery test where I drain the unit dry, but I probably won't get 12 hours anyway, because I set the backlight for bit longer than the default. I was pleased to learn that the Micro charges either from the AC adapter or via the USB cable when it is plugged in for syncing. That is a nice touch.
My unit is full with just over 1000 songs, far short of the 2500 claimed for the 5GB drive. This is my fault. The 2500 claim is based on using only WMA format songs recorded at 64kbps. I have a mix of WMA and MP3 files and I usually encode at a much higher rate. This is another reason the Zen Micro is the player for me. The original iPod and other devices are just too big. I don't have anywhere near 10,000 songs to carry around. I am pleased for those folks who do, but drives that big would be a waste of space for me. The 5GB units provide just enough room for me to carry around my digital collection. As the number of songs I own grows, I can always compress them to fit better on the Micro or become more selective about which tunes get synched.
Creative has a winner in the Zen Micro. I really believe this is the music player for the rest of us and, with some marketing behind it, it can do for the other online music stores what the iPod did for its brother iTunes. Thank goodness for choice.

The Zen Micro digital music player from Creative Labs packs an incredible 5 GB of storage capacity into a shell small enough to sit comfortably in your jeans pocket. It also rides nicely in your hand, with a palm-fitting profile and thumb-friendly front-panel controls. It's a bit shorter than an Apple iPod Mini, yet its rechargeable lithium-ion battery provides 12 hours of continuous playback--50 percent more than iPod Mini's. The Zen Micro is compatible not merely with MP3s and WAV files, but with WMA as well. Toss in USB 2.0 connectivity and you're looking at one spiffy portable music player. But playing isn't all the Zen Micro does. You can use it to receive FM radio (with 32 station presets to keep your favorites at the ready), and to record, either from the radio or from live sources such as voice dictation or lectures using the Zen Micro's built-in condenser microphone.Trimmed in a luminescent blue glow and with easily visible backlit buttons, this stylish black player holds up to 1,250 songs (83 hours) at 128 kbps or 2,500 songs (166 hours) at lower-fidelity 64 kbps (MP3/WMA)--that's a solid week's worth of music listening, never playing the same song twice. Compatibility with Microsoft's WMA compressed-audio format grants access to over 2 million downloadable songs offered promotionally or for sale online.Perhaps the Zen Micro's coolest attribute is its DJ feature, which will shuffle not only all the songs you've loaded or all the songs in a given album, but also, at your discretion, only the tracks you listen to most, or only those you rarely hear, taking the work out of selecting your favorites or hunting out all the music you're still getting to know. For navigation, the device features a vertical, linear touchpad designed to make searching through songs or playlists easy, quick, and fun. The unit's blue, 160 x 104-pixel, electroluminescent LCD shows key functions and song details at a glance, and you can even customize the main menu to keep right at your fingertips the features that matter most to you.Another of the Zen Micro's handy features is its personal organizer. You'll never forget an important anniversary with the onboard calendar, and it also includes a to-do list and a contacts list, all of which sync seamlessly with Microsoft Outlook (Outlook thus required for use of these features). In addition, the device offers a sleep timer and alarm so you can drift off to sleep to the strains of one playlist and wake to a completely different one.The Zen Micro's removable battery is easy to swap with another fully charged battery (additional batteries sold separately), extending your listening by a half-day per swap. What's in the Box The Zen Micro player, stereo earbud headphones, a rechargeable lithium-ion battery, a USB 2.0 cable, an installation CD, a quick-start guide, and Creative MediaSource software.

Griffin Road Trip Charger for iPhone and iPod Review

Griffin Road Trip Charger for iPhone and iPod

I have tried a few of these FM transmitters, but liked the design of this unit so much that I waited over a month for it to be released by Griffin. I'm using it in a 1996 Honda Accord, manual 5 speed with a gen 1 ipod touch and ipod nano. I had to wrap some tape around the last inch or so of the piece that inserts into the lighter socket to keep it from wobbling and losing contact. Once that was done, the Road Trip is rock solid and holds the ipod units securely.
Overall the Road Trip works great. Sound quality is much better than FM transmitters that connect through the ear phone jack. The automatic station selection works pretty well, but with trial and error I have found better stations than the ones recommended. It also initially wants the ipod touch to have a Road Trip app installed. We eventually installed the app (free) from itunes, but the app just emulates the physical buttons on the unit. Unless I'm missing something, I don't understand why the app was needed.
Overall I would definitely buy this unit again. FM transmitters for cars generally have signals that are too weak and are very susceptible to outside interference. In my opinion, the Road Trip is as good as it gets. The mechanical mounting arrangement for your music player is very secure. The unit has a well made feel to it too. The bendable arm allows you to position your player out of the way of the other controls on the dashboard or the shift lever.

RoadTrip uses a powerful FM transmitter to send the music wirelessly to your car's FM radio, so you and the whole car can enjoy it through your stereo speakers. And while you're enjoying the music, your iPhone or iPod is enjoying a battery-charge.Griffin innovations and user-centric design make the difference: like SmartScan, a Griffin feature that finds the best FM frequency and performs the setup for you.You can save the most useful frequencies as presets and recall them at the push of a button. And Griffin SmartSound technology analyzes the signal and adjusts the output to make sure your music always sounds great.RoadTrip also puts track controls at your fingertips. Play, pause, skip tracks forward and backward from RoadTrip's buttons, and your eyes never have to leave the road.
